Membership of the Institute
Full membership confers:
- Library access and borrowing rights (6 books) from our collection of contemporary books, videos and magazines.
- Free access to our magnificent Heritage Collection protected under Heritage Victoria as a unique mirror into the world of the 19th Century
- Discounts on Institute activities such as Twilight Talks, Film Nights, Historical Discussions etc.
- Free access to the Internet via a library desktop or accessing WIFI plus discount on photocopying
- Placement on BMI information circulation list and functions invitation list inluding a monthly newsletter.
- Rights to nominate for BMI Board of management, to vote in Board elections and at a General Meeting

The following prices for 2012 include GST:
- $45.00 Full membership.
- $40.00 Full Membership Pension Concession.
- $100 Corporate Membership
